Food Truck Friday Vendor Guidelines and Conditions

GUIDELINES

Scheduling

Food Trucks will be scheduled for Fridays, from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm

Set-Up

Food Trucks will be staged in the Hernando County Administration parking lot. Set up must be complete 30 minutes prior to opening.

No power will be available. Vendors need to provide their own generator, if needed.

Day Of

Drive your truck to park in front of the Airport Administration buidling at 15800 Flight Path Drive.

CONDITIONS

Vendor agrees to comply with the following conditions. Violation of any condition is grounds for immediate revocation of access.

  • Vendor agrees to keep its set-up, including truck, trailer, signage, generator, etc. as neat and tidy as possible.
  • Vendor must provide their own trash receptacle and arrange proper trash and grease disposal off-site.
  • Food truck shall not sell anything other than food and beverages, including but not necessarily limited to, alcohol or merchandise.
  • If the airport receives three or more complaints against the vendor, the vendor will be given the opportunity to resolve such complaints.
  • The vendor’s services may otherwise be terminated without notice and without cause at the absolute discretion of BKV management.
  • Each vendor is responsible for ensuring that its representatives are aware of and comply with all BKV conditions.
  • Each truck will be operated in accordance with State of Florida, Hernando County Ordinances, and all rules, regulations, ordinances, resolutions and directives of BKV management or its authorized representatives.
  • No person on the grounds of race, color, age, religion, sex, national origin, or disability will be excluded from participation in or denied the use or benefits or otherwise subjected to discrimination.
  • Vendor will comply with all requirements imposed by or pursuant to Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally Assisted Programs of the Department of Transportation Effectuation of the Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as may be amended.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. In no event shall BKV management, its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors or assignees be liable to the Vendor and/or its affiliates, and/or respective managers, members, officers, employees, agents, representatives or customers (collectively: BKV) for any loss, liability, theft, damage, claim or demand, including but not limited to, theft or damage to Food Truck’s property, furnishings, equipment and merchandise that Vendor may incur arising out of Vendor’s operations at BKV, whether caused by the negligence of BKV or otherwise. BKV management shall not carry insurance covering any such property theft, loss or damage and Vendor shall be solely responsible to carry its own insurance or otherwise accept the risk of any such theft, loss or damage. In furtherance of the foregoing, in no event shall BKV management be liable for any consequential, special, indirect, incidental, or punitive damages, costs, expenses or losses (including without limitation lost profits, loss of business, anticipatory profits and opportunity costs).

INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS. All food vendors must provide proof of liability insurance in the amount of $1 million per occurrence. Hernando County must be named as additional insured, a certificate holder and a waiver of subrogation in favor of Hernando County. Auto insurance is required for all vendors utilizing a trailer as their vendor space if the trailer will be accessed next to the vendor booth.
