Capital Improvement Program
A Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) is outlined within an airport’s master plan and identifies recommended improvements over a 20-year planning period. CIP programs are centered around safety, pavement rehabilitation, airfield electrical, stormwater and environmental improvements. These projects are typically funded utilizing Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) grant programs.
